The 12 Universal Laws of Manifestation (Start Using Them Today)

Most people are familiar with the foundational laws of physics, like gravity and energy. Just as the physical laws of the universe help to keep our outer world in order, there are spiritual laws that help keep our inner world in balance. There are 12 universal laws that govern our lives. These laws are always in effect, and we can use them to our advantage to create a better physical reality for ourselves. In this blog post, we will discuss each of the 12 universal laws of manifestation and provide actionable steps you can start using right now!

What are the 12 universal laws of manifestation?

The 12 universal laws are intrinsic, immutable and always in effect. These universal laws can be traced back to the mystical practice of Ho’oponopono which originated in ancient Hawaiian culture. A number of these laws can also be traced back to hermetic teachings that date back from ancient Egypt. Those earliest rules survived throughout ancient cultures as many worldwide still study and work with them today. All universal laws are geared towards a love-driven lifestyle. Here is some basic information about these topics and their underpinnings.

1.) Law of Vibration

This foundational law states that everything in the universe is in a state of constant motion. Everything vibrates at its own frequency, and these vibrations create our reality. We can use this law to our advantage by learning to manage our own vibrations. When we vibrate at a higher frequency, we attract positive things into our lives. Conversely, when we vibrate at a lower frequency, we attract negative energy. So, if you want to attract more positive things into your life, make sure to raise your vibration and be on the same frequency! One way to do this is by practicing gratitude. Every time you feel thankful for something, you are raising your vibration and bringing more good into your life.

2.) Law of Attraction

This law states that like attracts like. What we focus on is what we attract into our lives. If we focus on positive things, we will attract more positive things. If we focus on negative things, we will attract more negative things. It sounds like the law of vibration, doesn’t it? But, the law of vibration comes first. You want to set yourself up for good vibes so you can then practice the law of attraction! Always be aware of what you are focusing on so that you can control what you’re attracting into your own life. One way to do this is by practicing visualization. Visualize what you want to achieve or what you want your life to look like. The more detailed and specific your visualization, the better. We discuss this in deeper detail in our post about law of attraction for beginners.

3.) Law of Divine Oneness

The law of divine oneness states that we are all connected to one another and to the entire universe. We are all made of the same energy, and what affects one of us affects us all. This is why it’s so important to be mindful of our thoughts and actions. When we act from a place of love and compassion, we help to raise the vibration of the entire planet. This one can get a bit deep. But, we are discovering more and more real world examples of it all the time. Picture a tree in a forest and its roots underground being intertwined with all the other trees in that same forest. They “talk” to each other and are all connected. Scientists have seen how if one tree gets sick, it will tell the others so they can protect themselves from whatever disease or insect that is causing it.

4.) Law of Compensation

This law explains that we will receive back what we put out into the world. If we give love, we will receive love in return. If we give hate, we will receive hate in return. It’s basically karma! Even my children understand this direct relation. For example, if my son is bothering his sister and then something unfavorable happens to him, she’ll yell out, “That’s karma!”. So, it is important to be aware of this law so that we can make sure we are putting out positive energy into the world. One way to do this is by practicing acts of kindness. Whenever you do something nice for someone else, you are also doing something nice for yourself.

5.) Law of Polarity

The fifth universal law is the law of polarity. This law says that everything has an opposite. For every positive there is a negative, and for every negative there is a positive. You’ve probably heard the term “polar opposites”. Examples include: hot and cold, Heaven and Hell, night and day, masculine and feminine, life and death. A great way to use this law in your everyday life situations is to use it as a way to see different perspectives. We all need to change our perspective from time to time; I know it makes me feel better when I am trying to manage my emotions. Think of the famous quote, “‘Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” If you have lost a loved one, you may feel immense pain. But, like the quote implies, wouldn’t you endure that pain to have the love all over again? The law of polarity reminds us that every single thing has two sides, a duality.

6.) Law of Correspondence

The sixth universal law is the law of correspondence. This law states that what we see on the outside is a reflection of what is going on inside of us. Our external reality is a reflection of our internal reality. If we want to change our external reality, we must first change our internal reality. One way to do this is by changing our thoughts and beliefs. Another actionable idea to create a better external outcome is to eat healthier foods. Think about how you feel when eating a ton of unhealthy fast food and sugary snacks (uh…great they are delicious!). Afterwards, you probably feel heavy, bloated, and sleepy. But, if you ate more healthily and drank lots of water, you would feel better and have more energy!

7.) Law of Inspired Action

The seventh universal law is the law of inspired action. This law states that we must take action in order to manifest our desires. We can’t just sit around and wait for what we want to come to us. We have to go out and make it happen. This is one of the most important steps when trying to manifest the people and things you want. I struggle with this one and have to constantly remind myself to take action and start moving in the direction I want to go. I am one that likes to study and research until I’m blue in the face. But, that won’t get me anywhere. I have to at least show the universe that I’m willing to put myself out there, even if I don’t know exactly how I am going to achieve my goal. So, rip the band aid off, and take that first step and make that first call towards your goal.

8.) Law of Cause and Effect

The eighth universal law is the law of cause and effect. This law states that everything happens for a reason. There is a cause for every effect; every action has a reaction. If we want to change our lives, we have to change the cause. One way to do this is by taking responsibility for our lives. We are in control of our thoughts, emotions, and actions. Starting to see how all these laws are connected and work together? I feel like I am always thinking about this law without even realizing it. As a parent, I’m always worrying about what I do or say to my children now and how that could impact them in the future. I don’t want them to have tons of issues because of something I did or didn’t do or said!

9.) Law of Relativity

The ninth universal law is the law of relativity. This law states that everything is actually neutral. What we see as positive, may be seen as negative by someone else. The things you love to do is what someone else dreads doing. It is all a matter of perspective. One way to use this law to our advantage is by being tolerant and open-minded. For example, in a work or school setting, you may execute and learn completely differently than the person sitting next to you. A great way to take action on this law is to be more understanding and show some grace. Remember that their way is not wrong or bad, just different- it’s actually neutral.

10.) Law of Gender

The tenth universal law is the law of gender. This law states that everything in our physical world has both masculine and feminine qualities. We must learn to balance these energies in order to create harmony in our lives. One way to do this is by recognizing the masculine and feminine energy within ourselves. We must learn to use and express both sides in order to create balance. I feel like it could almost be called the law of genderless or genderful. If everything has a mixture of both, then there is nothing that is just exclusively one or the other.

11.) Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy

The law of perpetual transmutation of energy says that everything is constantly changing and evolving. What we see as negative today may be seen as positive tomorrow. It is important to be flexible and open-minded so that we can flow with these changes. One way to do this is by letting go of what no longer serves us. If something isn’t working, don’t be afraid to let it go and move on.

12.) Law of Rhythm

The last of the universal laws is the law of rhythm. This law states that everything happens in cycles. There are highs and lows, ups and downs. We must learn to ride the waves so that we can stay afloat. One way to do this is by understanding that everything is temporary. Think about when you are most productive. You can use this law to your advantage by recognizing the time of day or times of the month when you are most energetic. Get important to-do’s done during those times, knowing that other parts of the day or month you will not feel like it.

These are the 12 universal laws. If we want to create harmony in our lives, we must learn to use all them to our advantage. By taking inspired action and being aware of our thoughts and beliefs, we can attract more of what we want into our lives. And by letting go of what doesn’t serve us, we can flow with the changes and create balance in our lives. Try to take time out of your busy schedule to be still and quiet and ponder these concepts. It will lead you to a more spiritually aligned life.
